Recipe – Pork wraps with herbs, apples and rocket.

June 17, 2013

As a post workout meal I made some pretty easy to do and really tasty wraps with protein and carbohydrates as the main nutrients but also some good fats from avocado in one of the wraps together with cheese and some piggham.

  • Pork tenderloin fillet
  • Santa maria tortilla wraps
  • Sage, mix of herbs, garlic, cinnamon and rocket salad
  • 1 apple
  • Apple-sauce

Quickly seal the tenderloin after removing any excess tendon/fat from it in a non-stick frying pan and quickly put all the spices on, then place it in the middle of the oven at 190 degrees Celsius and let it cook for about 20 minutes until liquids are clear when cut – take it out and let it rest for about 3-5 minutes.

Whilst the meat is resting cut the apple in half and slice it up in half-moon shaped slices, put it in a bowl with cinnamon sprinkled over it and microwave it until thoroughly steamed/cooked. Then place the apples in the wrap, slice the tenderloin up and put the meat on top of the apples.

Splash some apple-sauce on top of the meat and finish it all of with some rocket and you get a pretty bad-ass post-workout meal!
