Stretching – Is this good or bad for you?

Here’s a very interesting study done with 3 groups of soccer players, one group performed regular Static Stretches, the other Dynamic Stretches and the third group did not do any stretches at all – 24 hours prior to performing explosive exercises.

As you see if reading my link, the Static stretch group performed much worse than the non-stretch group and the Dynamic Stretches group performed even better compared to both of the first two groups.

Conclusion – If you are about to perform any explosive exercises, do not do static stretches 24 hours prior to this event!
